The Census Bureau has released the latest estimates from the American Community Survey data to estimate the median year housing built. We have crunched the numbers and the rankings are in. See the ZIPs in New Jersey with the highest median year housing built below, and the lowest median year housing built ZIPs. Only ZIP codes with a low margin of error are included.
In the rankings below, we look at the median year housing was built. Some rankings may look at the number of newly constructed homes in the past year, but those overlook new homes that were built just a few years ago. Taking a look at the median year housing was built gives a much broader look at the availability of newer vs older homes since half of all homes were built after the median year.
The New Jersey median year housing built from the latest estimates is 1967 and remains unchanged from the previous year.
