The Census Bureau has released the latest estimates from the American Community Survey data to estimate the percent using public transportation. We have crunched the numbers and the rankings are in. See the ZIPs in Tennessee with the highest percent using public transportation below, and the lowest percent using public transportation ZIPs. Only ZIP codes with a low margin of error are included.
A good public transit system can help create job opportunities, provide benefit to everyone but especially those with lower incomes, increase mobility for tourists, reduce time wasted in congestion, and reduce carbon emissions. Ranking the quality of an areas public transportation system can be subjective. Instead, we let the people in the area decide by measuring the percentage of people that actually us it.
